Into the Light!

Aravind Adiga wins Booker prize with The White Tiger | Books | The Guardian
This is the first time that I have actually read the book before it won the Booker prize. I happened to be visiting my Brother a few weekends ago and I saw this lying on his table.
What intrigued me was the the title: The White Tiger. The white tiger, also known as Bengal Tiger in India. I recall seeing one years ago in captivity in the Bhopal Zoo. Needless to say they are striking animals to look at!

The book is highly recommended to get a glimpse of the other side of India, the more prevalent if not dominant one! It's written in a conversational style between the protagonist Balram Halwai and the Chinese premier. You are forewarned that this is not what most Indians would talk to you about or something you will read about on the tourism board website.
